What is ELDT?

The Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has put a new rule into effect that requires all prospective commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders to get training at a certified institution.

This new rule is called the Entry-Level Driver Training Rule or ELDT for short. In a nutshell, the new ELDT regulation consists of three parts:

2. Theory & Practice
3. Get Registered

Study Course
Designed to help students pass the ELDT Theory required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA). We will upload your certificate to FMCSA’s national registry, which will notify the DMV that you have completed the theory portion of the ELDT requirement  to move on to behind-the-wheel training and finally your road test.
